Daikichi Oogami, a 52-year-old man, is in charge of protecting the Earth from space monster invasions by turning into a giant and fighting them off. However, he has now become a laughingstock, with his battles becoming entertainment for many. However, his son, Daichi Oogami, is frustrated at the fact that his father's battles are seen as comedy skits. Wishing for everyone to take these battles seriously, Daichi makes the decision to become a hero.
